What Can UV DTF Transfers Be Applied To?

UV DTF transfers work best on clean, smooth, nonporous surfaces, including:

• Glass cups and drinkware

• Stainless steel tumblers and water bottles

• Acrylic and plastic surfaces

• Metal surfaces

• Keychains and ornaments

• Other smooth, hard surfaces

Please note: UV DTF transfers are not designed for fabric, clothing, silicone, rubber, or heavily textured surfaces. Adhesion may vary depending on the surface coating and material.

How to Apply Your UV DTF Transfers

No heat press, water, or special equipment required!

Step 1: Clean Your Surface

Thoroughly clean your application surface with rubbing alcohol to remove oils, dust, and residue. Allow the surface to dry completely before applying.

Step 2: Prepare Your Transfer

Place your transfer on a flat surface and firmly rub over the entire design using a squeegee, credit card, or similar tool. This helps ensure the design adheres to the clear transfer film.

Step 3: Peel the Backing

Slowly peel away the backing film, making sure the entire design stays attached to the clear transfer film.

If any part of the design remains on the backing, lay it back down, rub firmly, and peel again.

Step 4: Position and Apply

Carefully position your design on your item.

Once the adhesive touches the surface, it may be difficult or impossible to reposition, so take your time!

Starting from one side, slowly press the transfer onto the surface, smoothing it down as you go to help prevent air bubbles.

Step 5: Apply Pressure

Rub firmly across the entire design, paying extra attention to small details, lettering, and edges.

Step 6: Remove the Transfer Film

Slowly peel away the clear transfer film at a sharp angle, keeping it close to the surface.

If any part of the design lifts, lay the film back down, apply more pressure, and slowly peel again.

Step 7: Allow the Adhesive to Set

For best results, allow your newly applied transfer to sit for 24–48 hours before washing or exposing it to moisture.

UV DTF Care Instructions

To keep your designs looking beautiful for as long as possible, we recommend:

• Hand wash only using mild soap and a soft sponge or cloth.

• Avoid soaking or submerging items for extended periods.

• Do not place decorated items in the dishwasher.

• Do not microwave items with UV DTF transfers.

• Avoid abrasive scrubbers, harsh chemicals, and excessive heat.

• Do not scrub, scrape, or pick at the edges of the design.

• Allow the adhesive to set for 24–48 hours before washing.

• Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures.

Proper application and care will help maintain the appearance and adhesion of your transfer.

Important Information

UV DTF Transfers Are Permanent Adhesive Decals

Once applied, transfers are intended to remain in place. Attempting to remove or reposition them may damage the design or leave adhesive residue.

Not Recommended for Food-Contact Areas

Do not apply UV DTF transfers to surfaces that come into direct contact with food or beverages, including the inside of cups or the drinking rim.

Application Results May Vary

We recommend testing transfers on unfamiliar surfaces before completing large projects. Certain coatings, textured finishes, and specialty materials may affect adhesion.

Artwork Requirements

For the best possible print quality:

• PNG files with transparent backgrounds are preferred.

• High-resolution artwork at 300 DPI is recommended at the intended print size.

• Avoid blurry, pixelated, or low-resolution images.

• White ink is printed behind designs where needed for opacity.

• Please double-check your artwork, spelling, sizing, and layout before submitting your order.
